As NAPOCOR-Batangas Coal Fired Thermal Power Plant Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor:

o   Responsible for the accomplishment of all maintenance servicing, overhauling and repair job in all existing plant mechanical equipment, machineries and accessories. Also responsible for maintaining an adequate supply of spare parts, tools and other maintenance materials necessary for the continuous and efficient operation of the plant. There are some mechanical equipment, machineries under my supervision.

o   Check daily machineries work orders; assign jobs to maintenance men thru the leadman giving specific instructions regarding trouble analysis, repair procedures, materials to be used and priority of the jobs.

o   Prepare servicing schedule of plant mechanical equipment and machineries, determine necessity of maintenance inspection to correct early stages of defects so as to prevent the occurrence of major breakdowns.

o   Check and follow up progress of length repair jobs, works involving new installations, project modifications, and revisions; inform the Mechanical Superintendent of the progress thereof and discuss problems and difficulties that are encountered, if any.

o   Assist the Mechanical Superintendent in the general supervision of the maintenance men during emergency repairs, unit shutdowns and major overhaul. Responsible for all testing of all welder applicants during emergency repairs, unit shutdowns and major activities.

o    Device special tools, adapters, jigs and fixtures and other mechanical aids that are necessary for accomplishing maintenance and repair jobs. Consult manual, blue prints and other records in carrying out jobs.

o   Determine and preparing drawings and sketches of machine parts for local fabrication to be used as spare or as substitute parts. Direct the fabrication of such parts and see to it that measurements and critical dimensions are accurately followed within close tolerance.

o   Check spare parts, tools, materials and supplies in the stockroom to ensure the availability. Initiate replenishment orders when necessary.

o   Prepare drawings, specification and information necessary for the purchase requisition of spare parts, maintenance stock materials and supplies.

o   Check deliveries of requisitioned items; determine acceptability as to conformance to specification, workmanship quality and suitably to intend use.

o   Prepared performance evaluation report and subordinates. Recommend training needs to improve their skills and to promote effective flexibility among them.

o   Provide the Maintenance Superintendent A (Mechanical) with pertinent data in the preparation of the annual budget of the section.

o   Keep complete records of maintenance manual, reports, brochures, and memos pertaining to maintenance

o   Observe, comply and enforce the existing rules and regulations, code of discipline, corporate policies and guidelines, special instructions or orders.

o   Prepare daily work accomplishment with regards to welding in all areas, Boiler and BOP.

o   Coordinate to QA/QC concerning radio graphic test results both welders Qualification test and finished weldments joints.

o   Monitor the fit-up / welded joints in the boiler area for engineering reference prior to final billing.

o   Perform coordination works for welding as per report in water treatment area / demineralized tank / heavy and light oil tanks and submit to monitoring office for final billing.

o   Implement rules and regulations of the company to all welding personnel.

As Primex Coco Products Inc. Production Superintendent:

o   Responsible for the plant production operation. Plant operated at 24 hours for three shifts.

o   Responsible for maintaining good product quality as per customers ahead.

o   Responsible for maintenance crew with regards to equipment breakdown, repair, for proper scheduling.
